      <image:title>Work on Purpose - Working on Purpose</image:title>
<image:caption>They say a plane flying from New York to London is off course most of the flight. Yet those passengers always seem to arrive. Why is that? They have a clear direction and are constantly re-orienting to their intended destination. Without a clear sense of purpose, a clear sense of direction in life and work, we get profoundly lost and frustrated. The first step in making work meaningful, is to set a clear direction - this is called a purpose. Once that purpose is set, work can become an adventurous journey, rather than a tedious burden. Through live and virtual workshops, as well as individualized coaching, you and your team can get clear on your purpose and start moving in the right direction.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Work on Purpose - Workshops offered</image:title>
<image:caption>Motivational Interviewing: Behavior change is difficult, just ask anyone who has ever tried to change an unhealthy habit. Motivational Interviewing is a way of interacting with people that gets to the heart of this difficulty. It helps us identify and resolve barriers while drawing our own intrinsic motivation to make these difficult changes. Working on purpose: Simply showing up to work each day and going through the motions leads to burnout and frustration. Support your team in uncovering their core values so that work becomes deeply meaningful. Working through stress: The only thing that is for certain in these times is uncertainty, and that leads to anxiety and stress. Learn to work with the stress that arrises with uncertainty, so that you and your team can focus on what is most meaningful. Tailored offerings: Various needs arise to meet the demands of your work. Let me know what your team is needing and I will offer a tailor-made workshop. Contact me here to schedule a workshop: Contact Dave</image:caption>

      <image:title>Life on Purpose - Living on Purpose</image:title>
<image:caption>If you were raised in a Western culture, chances are you learned something about setting goals, solving problems, and achieving success. You may have even been taught something about the pursuit of happiness, as if happiness is something that you can one day cross of your to-do-list.. If you are like so many of us, this pursuit may have left you feeling empty, unfulfilled, even anxious or depressed. And yet, how much did you learn about your own internal world? How much were you taught about the vast landscape of thoughts, sensations, and emotions? How about your unique purpose in this world? What you are truly here to do. How much were you taught about uncovering your core values so that you could ensure your life was in line with what is most important to you? Living life on purpose means making a pivot inward, uncovering an inner knowing, and getting to know your mind and heart. It means living life in line with what matters most. I offer individual psychotherapy as well as facilitated groups to support you in your journey.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Life on Purpose - Psychotherapy</image:title>
<image:caption>You are amazing. You really are. You might not feel that way right now. Nobody does all the time. But underneath the stuck and underneath the struggle, lies a depth of potential, power, and purpose. As a psychotherapist, it is my honor to help guide you on the journey into those depths. Since 2009, I have been practicing and teaching a style of communication called Motivational Interviewing, a way of interacting that helps people understand where they may be stuck, to identify strengths they didn’t know they had, and to make a commitment to what matters most in their lives. My intention is to help you live a life full of meaning. My hope is that you begin to see life as a grand adventure. My goal is to help you live life on purpose. <image:title>Life on Purpose - Facilitated groups</image:title>
<image:caption>Fathers groups - Since 2019, I have been facilitating fathers groups and workshops with my dear friend Noah. It is inspiring when groups of committed dads come together to get better at something they are passionate about, and something that they don’t talk about anywhere else. Brave men growing in relationship with each other, with their kids, and with their partners. Check out: counciloffathers.com Mens groups - How do we navigate life without the clear rituals, myths, and rites of passage that were historically available to our ancestors? Gathering as men allows us to support each other in discovering what it means to be men in today’s world. Each of us carries tacit knowledge that when shared becomes explicit and integrated. Contact me if you are interested in joining a group of men working to better themselves and those around them. Emotions Education 101 TM - What are these mysterious forces we call emotions? This 8 week class developed by Hilary Jacobs Hendel helps us to begin the process of understanding core emotions, identifying unconscious defenses, and easing the anxiety and depression that arises as we work to connect with our authentic selves and move towards what matters most in life.</image:caption>
